Forms the basis for the entire Gaja Family

Gaja Classic is the classic which forms the basis for the entire Gaja Family.

The classic crepe texture without visible thread direction makes Gaja ideal for upholstering: the fabric’s soft, light elastic quality ensures that it is easy to work with, and the uniform surface simplifies cutting and reduces waste. The crepe weave and the strong wool fibres also mean that the fabric has a natural “anti-slip quality” which ensures a high level of sitting comfort and protection against slipping off the chair.

In terms of design, the very simple and discrete structure in the texture means that Gaja helps to highlight the upholstered item’s shape and lines rather than stealing the focus, and the fabric’s simplicity makes the colours appear pure and brilliant.

Considerable emphasis was placed on developing colour ranges which cover the classic contract colours and the natural colours for soft upholstering as well as the bold and unexpected colours for contrast and show.

Dynamic and tempting colour range

Gaja Classic’s colour range offers 41 tempting and modern colours.

The colour range with strong and clear colours, is an invitation to fun and games, while the more subdued colours play on seduction and temptation.

The purest new wool - nature’s own luxury

Gaja Classic is made of 100% New Zealand wool. The use of pure new New Zealand wool means that the textile is both breathable and absorbent, making comfort paramount as the wool reacts precisely to the body’s temperature and degree of perspiration.

The wool is also naturally fire-retardant and antistatic. Gaja Classic is therefore suitable in practically all areas, especially where there are particularly stringent requirements with respect to quality and the environment.

EU Ecolabel and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified

Gaja Classic carries both the EU Ecolabel and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 labels, giving you a valuable guarantee of health and sustainability.

The EU Ecolabel is your assurance that Gaja Classic was made with due respect for the environment and that it complies with the most stringent quality requirements.

The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label is your guarantee that Gaja Classic does not contain any substances which are hazardous to health, and this also means that the product is allergy-friendly.

Gaja Family

Gaja is developed in three varieties which, with their special qualities, are targeted towards specific needs. Although in terms of design, the three versions are identical, they each have their unique colour range and functional qualities. The Gaja family therefore always has a variation to suit every area of use and need.
